Take five words or numbers that mean something that is important to you, i.e. something happy, a birthday etc, we will use these collective items as triggers to recall temporary lost memories, i.e. someone, a time, a place etc, the secret is not to panic and stress yourself. If you cannot remember, try your first trigger: mine is "trifle", and relax your brain, do something else. If your lost word or item does not pop into your head, try your second trigger, and so on, it will come without all the normal anguish - it is still there, it is just that the link to that part of your brain may be temporarily busy with some other task. Using your fives will trigger a new link: it is like the internet - there are many routes, and the more you try the more frustrated you can become. Be calm, try your fives, it will get faster and faster. Memory is like a large muscle: use it don't lose it and don't forget even when you were younger you would have gone upstairs and could not remember what you went for. Have faith.
